David I. Ferber
David I. Ferber has been a partner and the head of the firm’s corporate and securities practice since its founding in 1981. He specializes in corporate, securities and general business law, with particular expertise in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, public and private financing, international business transactions and real estate. He has represented both the sources of financing, including underwriters, banks and other financial institutions, and the issuers of securities and borrowers. He regularly acts as legal adviser to both public and private companies with respect to financing, corporate governance, family business issues and start-up business organization and planning matters.
Mr. Ferber graduated from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics in 1963, and received his LL.B. in 1966 from the New York University School of Law, where he was a senior editor of the Moot Court Board.
Mr. Ferber is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, currently serving on its Committee on Judicial and Professional Ethics, and of the New York State Bar Association. In 2007, Mr. Ferber was appointed by the NY State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, 2nd Department, to serve as Special Referee in attorney disciplinary proceedings.
He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
